This week we’re bringing you a lovely guest blog from one of the best bloggers in town.
Get your beauty fix right here – we love these practical tips…
When you become a mummy it’s pretty easy to lose your sense of identity, says mama and beauty blogger Angharad Llewellyn from PillowMagazine.com.
Putting on a bit of makeup can make you feel like a new woman, but it can be pretty hard to find the time when you have a small child that constantly demands that you feed, clothe, bathe and entertain him. Er, how selfish! (Jokes).

But don’t worry – as your skills as a mother improve-slash-become more efficient, so does your capacity for reclaiming your sense of self. Whether this be doing exercise with friends or in the park, retaking up a hobby or just simply applying your make-up now and again, it’s a pretty good to try and do some things for yourself as a woman and not just as a mother.

There are some beauty products that will not only make you feel fab, but also for in with your new lifestyle as a new mama.

Here’s our Top 5.

Lanisoh Lanolin Nipple Cream

Yes, this might be a lifesaver when it comes to cracked nipples, but guess what – it’s also great for slathering on dry lips! A smear of this and your pout will be back to kissable and soft in no time. Even better, it’s something that you may already have stocked up in the cupboard.

Ren Grapefruit and Neroli, £16

An expensive body wash can transform a dip in the tub into a luxe experience. Asking your partner, a friend, your mum or the dog to watch the baby for half an hour while you take a bit of ‘me time’ can recharge the batteries and make you feel fantastic. Simple but true. (Don’t really give the dog babysitting duties).

Sleek Matte Me Lipstick, £4.99

This matte lipstick which costs less than a fiver and is readily available on the High Street (check Boots and Superdrug) has such incredible staying power and such brilliant colour pay off it’s a totally worthy investment for new mums. A slick of this and not only does it make you look ‘done up’ with zero effort, you only have to reapply it every few hours meaning no furtive looking in the mirror every ten minutes to see if it’s smudged.

Look Good Feel Better Multi-Tasking Brush, £11.99

Investing in decent make-up brushes can appear to be a bit of a financial investment and a ‘do I really need to?’ thing but they save you so much precious time in the long run it is something you’ll never regret. Even better, there are a lot of affordable make up brushes that are great quality available on the market.
